It's been a long road since it was announced... what, two years ago at least? However, we've finally hit end-game: Unreal Engine 5 has gone gold!
There's a lot of cool new shit in this release that, given how pervasive Unreal Engine is throughout the industry, we'll probably begin seeing in new release non-Switch games pretty soon; Epic have officially deprecated the old raytracing backend in favor of Lumen (their new real-time lighting system) and its raytracing features, and most interesting of all, UE5 going gold marks the introduction of Nanite.
Nanite is super cool on its own: it's a virtualized micropolygon geometry system--currently only usable for static, non-translucent assets--that allows for film-quality geometry detail (I'm talking tens of millions of polygons per object here!) on up-close objects while gracefully fading down to low-detail geometry the further objects are away from the camera with an almost imperceptible impact on performance. I'm not even remotely qualified to explain how it all works under the hood, but I do know that if they can eventually get it working for rigged dynamic meshes, it'll be an absolute game-changer, if you'll excuse the expression.
Now, I've memed them for this in the past, but with the earlier news that developers of noted dud-on-release Cyberpunk 2077 and owners of GOG CD Projekt RED are switching to UE5 for development of the next Witcher game and contributing their changed to the engine back to core, it looks like the new engine already has huge developer support, which is great for smaller indie studios and one-man-shows as it means a lot of awesome engine-level features from triple-A titles will make it back to the core releases of Unreal Engine 5.
Now, for the burning question: what sort of games do you want to see made with this new tech? Personally, I hope Bethesda finally dumped the corpse of Gamebryo and is using UE5 moving forward after Elder Scrolls 6, but we know they're stubborn as fuck so I'm not holding my breath.

kind of a hybrid post since this could also go in What Are You Listening To?, but the visuals on these are just so good
That radiant is pretty interesting! I'm not usually one for more... to use a probably awful terms here, garish color schemes, but honestly that design pulls it off well.
Figured it was about time I made a thread on one of the oldest licensed gacha games on the market: Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle! It's a fairly simple, 99% single-player bubble popping game, but with (as of like 2019) fancy animations! Summon on (and get shafted by) banners for your favorite characters--the game is seven years old so chances are there's a great card for your favorite character (yes, even Raditz!), and post your summons here. In addition, I'll be maintainging a friend code / username / leader directory, so post your deets here too!
Discussion of article Regarding Account Activation and Outlook Email:
QuoteRegarding ongoing issues with receiving activation emails at Microsoft Outlook.
Microsoft fucking sucks and people shouldn't use Outlook.
Unless they delist our server IP, then they're fine until it inevitably gets on their blacklist again because they're too trigger--happy.

I'm currently investigating this issue. From what I can see so far, it seems like Google (and probably Microsoft as well, in addition to just having blacklisted our server's IP) is having trouble retrieving any up-to--date and proper version of our email-related DNS records. I've updated them again, hopefully Google's email servers pick them up by tomorrow.
Fingers crossed, this appears to be mostly fixed now. Emails will now show up in spam for Gmail users, though I'm unsure about Outlook. If you use Outlook to register and don't receive an activation email, join the Discord if you aren't already a member of it and DM myself or Keileon.
The game's save file should be located here:
C:\Users\[name]\Saved Games\[gamefolder]
It should be named game.rxdata.

Since it'd be dumb to pin a thread for every gacha or mobile game that exists, I figured it'd be a better idea to have a pinned thread linking to all of them, organised by franchise. This thread will be updated with any new threads that are posted as I see them. If I miss one, just PM me a link and I'll add it!
I have finished the demo as of today and I wanted to ask where I could find the save file to submit for the badge? I can't seem to find it unless a screenshot of the save file is enough?
Upload it to a file hosting provider of your choice and PM the link to Keileon.
