Zoltan
Created and written by Keileon.

Zoltan is the first Circuit Trainer the player meets and serves as an introduction to the Circuit both in and out of universe. Though he gives you plenty of opportunity to back down, his patience isn't endless and refusing to heed his warnings will see him mercilessly beat down the player.

It soon becomes apparent that Zoltan is part of Team Mortis, but strangely seems out of his comfort zone when in their company. But that said, all you know about him beyond what you witness firsthand is Spruce's brief account of giving him an Axew as a starter, and Petra's vengeance-fueled vendetta against anyone in Team Mortis, Zoltan included. So whether or not he truly belongs in the team of big-name Circuit monsters is not up for you to determine.

Zoltan appears to favor Dark- and Dragon-Type Pokémon, and is the owner of two of the most infamous Pokémon in the Circuit: his partner Absol, Renegade, and a young shiny Latios, Jetstream. Despite the ferocity and reputation of his team, however, Zoltan doesn't strike first when encountering the player, and seems to act mostly in self-defense or when no other option is available.

Jetstream
Created and written by Keileon.

Although he isn't in his own right a trainer, Jetstream is a shiny Latios with a rare coloration. Owned by Zoltan, Jet has been in the Circuit his entire life and knows nothing else but Deathmatches. Infamous in the Circuit for never losing a battle, Jetstream's name is synonymous with the culture of raising a Pokémon specifically to kill its opponent. He kills his opponent without having to be told, simply because he doesn't know any better. He was born to fight, and raised to win.

Team Mortis
Image unavailable Divide
Created and written by Lord X-Giga-X.

Divide is the mysterious leader of Team Mortis. Seen only briefly near the end of Demo 2.x, Jordan and Mary do not meet him in the current build of the game. The player doesn't even see his face- the one time Divide appears, he is wearing a hooded robe with a Giratina mask. This, combined with his scythe in the shape of a Giratina's wing and his deadly reputation, has earned him the moniker of the Reaper.
Image unavailable Quad
Created and written by Lord X-Giga-X.

Quad is a member of Team Mortis encountered briefly on Tempest Island in the company of Zemith in order to capture Lugia. Reticent and serious in comparison to Zemith, Quad only seems to speak when he actually has something to say, and disregards the stalling of people around him- acting when someone is distracted or monologuing, forcing them to focus. His quiet and serious nature matches his deadly skill in Deathmatches.

His only known Pokémon is an Altaran Manectric.
Image unavailable Zemith
Created by ProfLeighton and written by Lord X-Giga-X.

Zemith is a vicious Circuit Trainer who is part of Team Mortis. Briefly seen knocking you and an officer out to bail Zoltan out of a confrontation with the police, he is later properly introduced when Team Mortis is going after a Lugia rampaging on Tempest Island. His only known Pokémon are a Haunter and a shiny Feraligatr named Crash.

Zemith does not have the same restraint and mercy that Zoltan does. While Zoltan is content to kill one of your Pokémon to punish you for not listening to him warning you to back off, Zemith won't stop until he's killed you, as well. Restrained only by the words of his more sensible teammates, Zemith is dangerous and twisted and is not someone that you want a one-on-one encounter with.
Image unavailable Abel
Created by The Kakuzato and written by both Lord X-Giga-X and Keileon.

Abel is another serious and quiet member on Team Mortis encountered near the end of Demo 2.x in the company of Zemith and Zoltan. Though not the leader, he has an authoritative presence and seems to call the shots when Divide isn't there to do so-- though other members may complain about his decisions, they nonetheless follow what can only be described as thinly-veiled orders.

Despite the ferocious reputation that all members of Team Mortis have, including Abel himself, this particular trainer seems much more reasonable and fair than his comrades, willing to cut deals and stick to them even if they prove unfavorable for his side.
Image unavailable Phlox
Created and written by Lord X-Giga-X.

Seeming to think himself to be a Pokémon, Phlox is savage and even described by his teammates as an animal. He jumps at any opportunity to burn his enemies to cinders, refers to other people as "human" instead of their names, and is never seen out of the company of his partner Infernape, which he has styled his appearance after.
