Give yourself a challenge! Let chaos reign!
Played through the demo before and want a greater challenge? Think Pokémon is inherently too easy? Hate yourself just a bit? Consider starting a Hard Mode save file! Hard Mode comes with many features, including:
  • All Deathmathes are now unable to be retreated from
  • Items cannot be used in any trainer battle
  • Gym battles restrict team size
  • Certain characters replace specific Pokémon with more difficult alternatives
  • The levels of some important battles go up
  • Noro is now activated automatically
  • Battle style is locked to Set
  • Healing costs money

Maybe you've decided you're not a fan of the carefully-crafted and balanced encounter tables, and you want something a bit more chaotic? Then you want to activate the Randomizer. In this mode, all Pokémon in the wild, in trainer parties, and even from Lone Eggs are totally random, aside from a very few that are left alone. Their movesets are changed as well, to reflect what that Pokémon would have at that level, except in the cases of a forced loss (to minimize the risk of softlock). Static overworlds are not randomized even though the battle is, and items and Pokémon metadata (such as types) are completely untouched. Some blacklisted Pokémon and variants cannot appear in this mode at all, and there may be ways to complete quests that involve having a specific Pokémon without having to get incredibly lucky. Gifted Pokémon are unaffected.

Please note that the Randomizer can destabilize the game and is not recommended for any sort of serious playthrough. Bugs and errors resulting from this mode are low-priority.
Can't take the heat? Make sure you know what you're in for...
Pokémon Sardonyx: Raised to Win is a game which features sociopolitical commentary and harsh language, as well as a story which revolves around dark and sensitive themes like murder, corruption, blackmail, and kidnapping. While the story cannot work without these themes, the commentary and language can be toned town significantly by turning on PG Mode.

PG Mode omits much of the swearing and direct sociopolitical commentary by replacing words and dialogue and making overt references more subtle. It has only a minimal impact on gameplay, with non-story quests and characters who cannot exist without these aspects completely omitted, making it harder to receive the relevant rewards.
These modes are selected at the beginning of the save file and cannot be changed afterwards. The only way to erase these modes is to start a new game-- so be absolutely sure you want your life to be harder before selecting these modes to begin with.

Rule of thumb: don't select any modes on a blind playthrough. The only exception to this is the PG Mode, which people making videos or streams on this game may wish to turn on if they have a large, varied audience with a history of being vocal or argumentative, or if they wish to keep a family-friendly rating.
